Good value for location. Not best for comfort and privacy.

Staff were really nice. The front desk for checkin was nice. Rooms were clean

Walls are paper thin. I can hear people around snoring and their intimate moments. Had to turn on white noise machine to sleep. There were also mosquitos. The front desk is a bit deceiving relative to the actual rooms as it has a back door to the rest of the building and it was just a few floors in an old building which is expected in Taipei but was not expected from the check in desk.

It is valued for money

The hotel is located next to the subway station and shopping area. Very convenient to move around.

Lifts are sharing with other tenders from the lower floors. The hotel has no amenities.

Location was fantastic, cleanliness was good too.

Location was fantastic, cleanliness was good too. There is the 7-11 right next door and 2 wonderful breakfast places too. Fittings were new and in good condition!

Probably good to top up the toiletries such as dental floss daily.

Nice toilet, bad mosquitos and thin walls.

The toilet is pretty good. The hidden door on level 1 is pretty cool.

The walls are extremely thin. I could hear this bunch of Hong Kongers making a lot of noise every night. There are mosquitos in the room! I killed 7 on the first night and on average 3 every other night.

Great location. That's all.

The location was top notch especially for the price. Just the opposite corner of Ximending so you'll have plenty to do at night. Room seems fairly new or at least well kept. Toilet had a Japanese automatic bidet so that's always a treat (lol). There's also a 7-11 downstairs for convenience, and they have a water dispenser at the lobby in case you're bringing your own bottle. Staff are very helpful even though I only spoke to them in English.

To set your expectation, the hotel shares the building with other tenants on different floors, including the 7-11 downstairs. When we first arrived at the lobby, I got a bit confused as there were no hallways or elevators going to the rooms. I realized that the lobby was one of the ground level stalls that the building rents out, and that you would have to go through the backdoor of that stall (lobby) to go to the building elevators. The building elevators are basically shared with the rest of the tenants, and only goes up to the 13th floor. Our room on the 14th floor was serviced by another elevator that goes up to the top (14th). That elevator was unfortunately the service elevator (goes from ground to 14th floor). And the service elevator sometimes has trash bags in it whenever the hotel or the other tenants (offices, etc) are doing their garbage run. This also led to the elevator to be infested with mosquitoes (it's a miracle that I finished my stay without any bites). Be sure to request for a room not on the 14th floor. Also our AC had problems on the 1st and 4th night where we had to turn it off for 10 minutes so that it could thaw/reset and blow cool proper air. One of our rooms (room 1402) was one with 2 double beds. There was a massive column going through the middle that basically divided the room into 2, putting a bead on each side, and awkwardly, a door on each side as well. Oddly enough each bed also had a TV in front of it. Basically we had 2 TV's in the room with only 1 remote to operate them, and we wouldn't really be using 2 TV's at the same time. The room seemed like an afterthought that instead of 2 separate rooms, they just combined it into a 2-bed unit. I was a bit disappointed with the hotel to be honest, but the location really just did even out the score.

New renovated room with hidden problems

The location was great.

The room has mosquitos and the staff was not able to provide any help. My spouse and I were also bitten by unknown bug and had two bite marks in a horizontal pattern.

Great location and stylish "lobby" and room, yet be prepared that it's not really a whole-blk hotel

The floor constituting the room and lobby is quite spacious and newly renovated, with stylish design and quite modern facilities. Like the location as well, just 5-10 min walk away from Ximending. Staff are friendly and helpful, always with a smile.

The property is not really a hotel (whole block in traditional sense)... located within a shabby commercial building with very local shop/mall, so it could be quite hard to find it. They do have a newly renovated "lobby" where the staff handled check-in/check-out, plus luggage deposit. But after check-in, they just guided you through one of the make-shift wall-door to the mall... Could feel quite creepy at first. And the room is not very well sound-insulated, could hear bumps and even water drainage.

Very comfortable and pleasant. Near to all amenities.

Excellent location. Just next to Exit 2 of the XImen MRT station. Many food and beverage outlets nearby. Ximen area is popular for shopping. Getting round Taipei is very easy with the MRT. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

Sound proofing of the rooms a bit poor. We had very inconsiderate hotel guests next to our room who where very noisy even after midnight for two nights and disturbed our sleep though it is not the fault of the hotel.

The location was amazing!

The location was amazing! The staff was very helpful and the room was much bigger than we expected! The bathroom was also very big, comfortable and clean. Would stay here again and would recommend it.

On the downside, there were mosquitoes everywhere. We killed 5 right when we got to the room but at night we still got bitten quite a lot by them. This wasn´t my first time in Taiwan, and I know there are mosquitoes everywhere, but I think if the room had had a mosquito repellant spray or those things you can plug at night our stay would´ve been perfect.

Recommended for a short stay in Ximending

The location of the hotel is great! It's at Ximending, minutes away from the main shopping street. Room felt newly-furbished and looked sleek. It also has a convenience store in the building itself, and rooms were soundproof and spacious enough for three large luggages.

The building that the hotel is in is a little run-down, and shared with other businesses. The upkeep of the building facilities could be better - the lift had broken floor tiles. We also encountered problems with the shower during our stay - the plumbing could be improved as well.
